🎮 Getting started

1. Extract the client Into a folder inside your own user profile, such as C:\Users\you\Games\RiFT. Avoid Program Files, where Windows blocks writes and the patcher cannot update itself, and avoid Desktop and Documents, which OneDrive syncs by default.
2. Create an account Register here. It takes a minute and needs nothing but a username and a password.
3. Run the patcher Launch it, let it finish, then press Start. Only the first run takes a while.
4. Log in The username and password you registered on this site are the ones the game wants.

🛠️ If it will not start

• Check where you extracted it. Inside Program Files, Windows blocks writes and the patcher cannot update itself. Inside Desktop or Documents, OneDrive backs the folder up by default and a multi-gigabyte client uploads endlessly and gets locked while the game is writing to it. A folder such as C:\Users\you\Games\RiFT has neither problem.
• Add the client folder to your antivirus exclusions. Ragnarok clients are routinely flagged as false positives.
• Run as administrator if the patcher cannot update itself.
